The Nikkei average rebounded. At the end of the morning trading, it was 38,872.19 yen (+ 0.49%) higher than the previous business day. The US stock market on the 7th fell. Although US stocks fell, the Tokyo market started trading slightly on the buy side with the material of the yen's depreciation trend. The Nikkei average steadily rose from the opening and became locked in the 38,800 yen range. This was partly because large-cap financials were relatively bought as the 10-year JGB yields reaching the 1.0% level, and the rise in the TOPIX was somewhat noticeable.
The top contributors to the price increase were Softbank Group (9984) ranked first, and First Retailing (9983) ranked second, which pushed up the Nikkei average by about 55 yen with the two stocks. In addition, the top stock in the Nikkei constituent stocks in terms of rising rate was SOMPO (8630), which was up 4.59%, and the second was Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma (4506), which was up 3.81%.
On the other hand, the top contributors to the price decline were Tohoku Electric Power (8035) in first place and Kao (4452) in second place, which pushed down the Nikkei average by about 19 yen with the two stocks. In addition, the top stock in terms of decline rate in the Nikkei constituent stocks was Kao (4452), which fell 4.20%, and the second was M3 (2413), which fell 3.35%.
