In the past, we needed to remember a lot of things, but now that we have search engines, we don't need to remember so much anymore.

Neuroscientists have studied why memory loss occurs. When different brain cells in the brain can be used for both memory and reasoning, when we don't need to remember so much, the brain is used for more reasoning.

Now we are facing another new change, and it is likely that people will have to reallocate their own brain cells. Maybe we should try not to do what ChatGPT can do, and let our brains do things that ChatGPT cannot.

Dai Wenyuan does not believe that AI is currently a process of replacing humans.

For example, AI technology like recommendation engines cannot do without humans.

The difference is that in the past, to achieve an application like today's headlines, it may have required several million or tens of millions of people to implement it without relying on AI. Based on AI, efficiency has been greatly improved, and one person can do the work of 10 million people in the past. However, this does not mean that the arrival of AI has led to the unemployment of 10 million people. We should let these ten million people do things that are the equivalent of ten million times what they used to do.

This is an increase in productivity, which may be a major theme in the future. In fact, this has been happening subconsciously for the past 20 years, but there has not been such a large psychological impact in the past 20 years. Now, this change has made everyone feel some impact.
