Whilst it may not be a huge deal, we thought it was good to see that the Berry Global Group, Inc. (NYSE:BERY) Independent Director, Peter Thomas, recently bought US$60k worth of stock, for US$59.50 per share. That purchase might not be huge but it did increase their holding by 29%.
Berry Global Group Insider Transactions Over The Last Year
In the last twelve months, the biggest single purchase by an insider was when CEO & Director Kevin Kwilinski bought US$115k worth of shares at a price of US$57.44 per share. So it's clear an insider wanted to buy, at around the current price, which is US$59.23. While their view may have changed since the purchase was made, this does at least suggest they have had confidence in the company's future. While we always like to see insider buying, it's less meaningful if the purchases were made at much lower prices, as the opportunity they saw may have passed. The good news for Berry Global Group share holders is that insiders were buying at near the current price.
