SBI Shinsei Bank, Ltd. (hereafter, SBI Shinsei Bank) and LIXIL Co., Ltd. announced on 2024/1/22 that they have signed a business partnership agreement aimed at popularizing ZEH*1 and houses equipped with solar power generation facilities to realize a decarbonized society, and that they are considering a preferential interest rate program applied to loans for newly built housing in line with the same purpose.
Starting today, I would like to inform you that when purchasing a ZEH house to be newly built using a “build” provided by LIXIL TEPCO Smart Partners*2, we have decided to give preferential interest rates of 0.02% per year from the initial loan interest rate to customers using SBI Shinsei Bank's mortgage loans.

*1 ZEH (ZEH, net zero energy house) is a house where the net energy consumption of a house is generally reduced to zero or less while reducing energy usage through high insulation, high airtightness, and high efficiency equipment, while generating energy from solar power generation, etc. (From the Ministry of the Environment website)
*2 LIXIL TEPCO SMART PARTNERS (https://www.lixiltepco-sp.co.jp/) is a joint venture established by LIXIL and TEPCO Energy Partners for the purpose of promoting the spread of ZEH without putting a burden on the environment.

[Program Overview]
If a customer who has purchased a newly built housing*3 using ZEH and “built-up” takes out a new loan from our Bank's Power Smart Mortgage, we will reduce 0.02% per year from the initial loan interest rate.

・If a variable interest rate (half-year type) is selected, the reduction range from the base interest rate will be given preferential treatment of 0.02% per year even after the end of the initial loan interest rate application period, if there is no change in the interest rate type.
・If a fixed interest rate is initially selected, the reduction range from the base interest rate of 0.02% per year will be given preferential treatment only when a variable interest rate (half-year type) is selected after the initial loan interest rate application period has ended.
・If you choose a long-term fixed interest rate, you will receive 0.02% preferential treatment per year until payment is paid off.
*3 ZEH categories covered by this program

[Program Participation Requirements]
・Customers who have contracted to “build” LIXIL TEPCO Smart Partners Co., Ltd. must meet the following requirements.
① Please enter the partner company code on the mortgage application form prescribed by the Bank
② Please submit a copy of the “building” agreement to the Bank before signing the mortgage contract.
・Select one of the interest rate types: variable interest rate (half-year type), initial fixed interest rate, or long-term fixed interest rate.
*Both fixed fee rate type and fixed fee type are eligible for each interest rate type.
