On the sector side, TechNet shares generally fell; Bilibili fell nearly 6%; NetEase, Baidu, JD, and Tencent fell more than 3%; Meituan and Xiaomi fell more than 2%; Kuaishou fell nearly 2%; and Ali fell more than 1%.
Auto stocks fell, with Ideal Auto falling more than 19%, Xiaopeng Motors falling more than 8%, NIO falling more than 5%, Great Wall Motor and BYD shares falling by more than 4%, and Geely by nearly 4%.
Insurance stocks declined; AIA and China Taibao fell nearly 4%, Xinhua Insurance fell nearly 3%, China Life Insurance fell more than 2%, and Ping An of China fell nearly 2%.
Many biotech stocks declined. Kingsley Biotech and Pharmaceutical Biotech fell more than 5%, BeiGene Shenzhou fell more than 4%, and Pharmaceutical Kangde fell nearly 4%.
