On the 10th, IC <4769> announced the consolidated financial results for the second quarter of the fiscal year ending in September 2024 (October 23 to March 24). Revenue increased by 7.8% year-on-year to 4.598 billion yen, operating profit increased by 23.5% to 445 million yen, ordinary profit increased by 31.8% to 504 million yen, and quarterly net profit attributable to parent company shareholders increased by 33.3% to 346 million yen.

As for revenue, sales to manufacturing and finance/securities/insurance increased. Regarding profit, significant profit increase was achieved due to the increase in revenue and the occurrence of some selling, general and administrative expenses being postponed until the third quarter and beyond. As for the full-year consolidated performance forecast, we are maintaining our previous forecast, considering the risk of economic downturn due to factors such as the occurrence of selling, general and administrative expenses being postponed until the latter half of the year, continued monetary tightening in Europe and the United States, concerns about the future of the Chinese economy, inflation, and the situation in the Middle East region.

For the full-year consolidated performance forecast for the fiscal year ending September 2024, we are expecting revenue of 9.023 billion yen, up 5.4% from the previous year, operating profit of 421 million yen, up 4.1% from the previous year, ordinary profit of 501 million yen, up 5.3% from the previous year, and net income attributable to parent company shareholders of 299 million yen, down 19.6% from the previous year.
