Xbox President Sarah Bond Hints At Call Of Duty 2024's Day-One Inclusion On Game Pass

Sarah Bond, Xbox president, has hinted that Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ:MSFT) will launch the 2024 Call of Duty game directly into its Game Pass subscription service.

"You're going to see some really amazing things," Bond told Bloomberg. "And keeping that as something that is really special for Xbox players is central for us."

"Game Pass is a gaming subscription. You get a whole portfolio of games, but importantly, you get every single one of our games that we build day-one in Game Pass, and the quality and the breadth of those games has only been going up over time," she added.

This hint follows discussions within Microsoft regarding the potential inclusion of the upcoming Call of Duty game on Game Pass from day one, coupled with reports speculating about a potential Game Pass price adjustment.

With Microsoft's recent acquisition of Activision Blizzard, its gaming catalog has expanded significantly, now encompassing major franchises like Call of Duty, Diablo, Halo, World of Warcraft, and The Elder Scrolls.

The possibility of Call of Duty 2024 joining Game Pass underscores Microsoft's strategic objective to attract new subscribers and invigorate its gaming business amidst a plateau in subscriber growth and dwindling console sales.
