Barclays plc (GB:BARC) has released an update.
In a robust move to enhance shareholder value, Barclays PLC has recently repurchased and plans to cancel 3.89 million of its ordinary shares, trading at prices between 181.26p and 183.80p. This buy-back is a piece of a larger program initiated on February 21, 2024, which has thus far seen the company acquire nearly 179.39 million shares at an average of 178.1989p each. Post-cancellation, Barclays’ issued share capital will stand at over 15 billion shares with voting rights.
