On April 18, the 10th Lenovo Tech World (2024 Lenovo Tech World) was successfully held in Shanghai. At the conference, Lenovo Group fully showcased its core proposition, strategic vision, and latest technological achievements based on hybrid artificial intelligence judgment. Among them, none has received the most attention than the AI PC series products with built-in personal intelligence “Lenovo Xiaotian”. This is also an artificial intelligence personalized computer in the true sense of the word in the current Chinese market.
At the conference site, Luca Rossi, Executive Vice President of Lenovo Group and President of the Intelligent Devices Business Group (IDG), shared her latest views on AI PCs. He believes that an AI PC is a personal device specially designed for generative AI application scenarios. It is a personalized AI device that can provide an unprecedented customized user experience by learning user preferences and habits, while ensuring the highest level of security and privacy protection.
Regarding the personal intelligence “Lenovo Xiaotian” released this time, Yu Hai, senior vice president of Lenovo Group and general manager of IDG's commercial product center and global SME business, said at the conference, “The magic of turning a computer from a tool to a partner who understands you comes from the 'Lenovo Xiaotian' personal intelligence.” According to reports, the “Lenovo Xiaotian” personal intelligence is driven by the Tianxi model built into the local market. Through natural interaction, it brings users a new AI experience in many scenarios such as work, study, and life. At the same time, with the help of users' personal local documents, Xiaotian can continuously deepen their knowledge and understanding of users, thereby providing more accurate and personalized services.
As the world's number one PC manufacturer and leading tablet and smartphone manufacturer, Lenovo Group has the ability to independently design and manufacture smart terminal devices. Through self-developed model compression technology, Lenovo Group can build in personal intelligence devices at the product design stage, enabling users to implement artificial intelligence inference functions on devices such as AI PCs.
At this conference, Luca Rossi also highlighted Lenovo Group's product development plans and comprehensive product roadmap in the era of artificial intelligence. He said that Lenovo Group not only maintained its leading position in the global market, but also continued to lead the industry in AI PCs and AI-driven devices, covering a broad product portfolio including the “Think” series, Yoga series, Legion series, and Motorola. The new AI-driven device will have excellent performance and responsiveness, while being both personalized, secure and private, and can be seamlessly connected and used smoothly between PCs, tablets, and Motorola smartphones through the Super Connect (Smart Connect) software solution.
Referring to industry leadership, Luca Rossi pointed out that Lenovo Group maintains the number one PC market share in four of the five major regions in the world, including the Chinese market. In the mobile sector, Motorola is also among the fastest-growing smartphone manufacturers in the world.
“Today's AI PC is just the beginning,” said Luca Rossi. By 2025, we will adopt a rolling product strategy to continue bringing more new AI-driven devices to the market and leading the global AI revolution.
Facing new growth opportunities, it is the general trend for the technology industry to work together to innovate and seek common development. Luca Rossi emphasized the importance of industry partners and said that Lenovo Group is actively cooperating with industry-leading chip and operating system industry partners to jointly create excellent devices that meet the high-performance needs of AI. Michelle Johnston Holthaus, executive vice president of Intel Corporation and general manager of the client computing division, also said at the conference that they will continue to cooperate with Lenovo Group to promote the implementation of AI on the end side and jointly promote the development of the AI PC ecosystem in China.
