Gelonghui, March 27, 丨 China Renewable Energy Investment (00987.HK) announced that it recorded operating income of HK$181 million for the year ended December 31, 2023. Wind conditions returned to normal in 2023, but electricity restrictions increased, reducing revenue by 8% compared to HK$197 million last year. Group equity holders' net profit after tax was reduced by 25% to HK$23.3 million or HK$0.93 per share.

As of December 31, 2023, the Group currently has eight wind farms and a distributed solar power project in operation, with a total installed capacity of 738 megawatts and a net installed capacity of 427 megawatts.

In 2023, wind conditions improved in regions where the company operates in Gansu, Hebei, Henan and Inner Mongolia. However, power restrictions have increased because high-speed transmission lines are unable to cope with the increase in the number of new wind farms. The scale of the power limit for the Green Brain Pack is particularly large. The total power generation capacity of the company's wind farms in 2023 was 1,423.8 gigawatt-hours or 1,940 utilization hours, an increase of 5% compared to 1,360.9 gigawatt-hours or 1,854 utilization hours in 2022.
