This evening, Sanhua Intelligent Control announced that the company and its holding subsidiary Hangzhou Xiantu Electronics Co., Ltd. (“Xiantang Electronics”) and the Hangzhou Qiantang New Area Management Committee (“Qiantang Management Committee”) signed the “Sanhua Intelligent Control Future Industrial Center Project Investment Agreement”. The project consists of two sub-projects, with a total planned investment of not less than 5 billion yuan. According to Sanhua Intelligent Control, the company has rich project experience, advanced technology, sufficient personnel and financial guarantees to build production bases, and has the ability to fulfill the agreement.
Specifically, Xiantu Electronics plans to invest in the construction of a Xiantang intelligent inverter controller production base project. As Xiantang Electronics' R&D, production, operation and sales headquarters in the Yangtze River Delta region, the total planned investment is not less than 1.2 billion yuan; Sanhua Intelligent Control plans to invest in the construction of a robot electromechanical actuator and domain controller R&D and production base project in Qiantang District, with a total planned investment of not less than 3.8 billion yuan.
Sanhua Intelligent Control said that the implementation of the above agreement will help the company expand the business scale of refrigeration and air conditioning electrical components and auto parts, enhance the company's comprehensive competitive strength in the field of HVAC appliances and automobile thermal management. At the same time, the development of a robot servo mechatronic actuator integration project will help the company improve its industrial innovation capabilities and core competitiveness.
Earlier, when receiving research from institutional investors, Sanhua Intelligent Control stated that the company has listed the bionic robot mechatronic actuator project (hereinafter referred to as the “robot project”) as a key project. The robot project shares the core technology of the company's existing business. It is based on expanded research on automotive thermal management systems and existing business in other application fields. At the same time, the two have highly similar production processes and technology.
This means that Sanhua Intelligent Control can quickly enter the robot market using its existing resource advantages and technological advantages, and can extend and expand the company's existing industrial chain. According to reports, the electromechanical actuator is the core component of a bionic robot, and is mainly composed of a servo motor, a deceleration mechanism, and an encoder.
Sanhua Intelligent Control also said that according to public information data, actuators account for more than 80% of the hardware cost of humanoid robots. In the future, the company's robot projects are expected to benefit from rapid growth in the humanoid robot market and become the driving force for future growth in the company's performance.
In the 2022 annual report, Sanhua Intelligent Control plans to cooperate with the customer in all aspects of product development, trial production, adjustment, and finally achieve mass production implementation in 2023; at the same time, it will also actively plan the overseas production layout of mechatronic actuators in line with the customer's mass production goals.

In April of last year, Sanhua Intelligent Control announced that the company signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Green Harmonics (688017.SH). The two parties will jointly fund the establishment of a joint venture at Sanhua Mexico Industrial Park. The main business is R&D, manufacturing and sales of products related to harmonic speed reducers.
