According to the Zhitong Finance App, Asia Groceries (08413) announced interim results for the six months ended September 30, 2023, with revenue of approximately HK$146 million, up 5.92% year on year; loss attributable to company owners was approximately HK$380,000, net profit of HK$3.427 million for the same period last year; loss of HK$0.03 per share.

According to the announcement, the profit to loss was mainly due to the increase in the cost of purchasing goods from suppliers, the writing off of obsolete inventory during the current period, the reduction in government subsidies received, and the increase in transportation costs, but some were offset by increased revenue and increased handling fees.
