According to the Zhitong Financial App, Xinyu Environmental Protection (00436) announced the interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2023. The group achieved revenue of HK$201 million during the period, a decrease of 24.25% over the previous year; losses attributable to shareholders were HK$33.165 million, and profit attributable to shareholders was HK$147.61 million for the same period last year, with a year-on-year profit of HK$147.61 million, with profit to loss of 0.01 HK cents per share.

According to the announcement, the net decrease in total revenue is mainly due to a sharp decrease in the average unit treatment price of industrial waste and medical waste environmental treatment and disposal services from China; and due to a decrease in revenue from environmental treatment, support, management services and factory facilities for industrial sewage, and a decrease in overall manufacturing activities of customers in the Environmental Electroplating Zone during this period.
