DJ Ford Won't Spin Off Mobility Division Any Time Soon -- Market Talk
10:11 ET - Ford has no plans to spin off its mobility business but will continue to discuss the possibility, executive chairman Bill Ford said during its annual shareholders meeting. "It's early days," he said. Investors increasingly are looking to bet on autonomous-vehicle technology and other potentially high-growth businesses that sit inside of slow-growth auto companies. Ford's mobility division includes its driverless-car team and services like GoRide Health, which provides non-emergency medical transport and is being rolled out nationwide. Mr. Ford also reiterated that the company is on track to offer commercial autonomous-vehicle services in 2021. Shares slip 1.7%.(mike.colias@wsj.com; @MikeColias)
