03:50 AM EDT, 03/24/2023 (MT Newswires) -- Caledonia Mining (CMCL.L) said Friday it plans to raise around 10.5 million pounds sterling in total through a placing of UK shares and Zimbabwe depositary receipts.
The net proceeds will be used, along with existing cash reserves and future cash, to boost the miner's balance sheet and for working capital for three planned gold projects in Zimbabwe.
As part of the offering, Caledonia Mining plans to raise around 8.1 million pounds through a placing of new common shares at 11.15 pounds apiece. Meanwhile, IHL Securities will undertake the placing in Zimbabwe on behalf of the group to raise around 2.4 million pounds. The Zimbabwe offering will remain open until March 31.
Caledonia Mining closed more than 4% higher on Thursday.
