06:21 AM EDT, 03/21/2023 (MT Newswires) -- Fortuna Silver Mines (FVI.TO) on Tuesday reported updated mineral reserve and mineral resource estimates as of Dec. 31, 2022, for its four operating mines and its development Seguela gold project in the Americas and West Africa, as well as the maiden inferred resource for the Arizaro project at the Lindero property in Argentina.
Combined proven and probable mineral reserves are reported containing 2.8 million ounces gold and 20.1 million ounces silver, a decrease of 14% and 22%, respectively, year over year.
Combined measured and indicated resources exclusive of mineral reserves are reported containing 1.1 Moz Au and 10.5 Moz Ag, an increase of 32% in gold and no change in silver.
Combined inferred mineral resources are reported containing 1.4 Moz Au and 26.5 Moz Ag, an increase of 39% and 1%, respectively, compared with the previous year.
Maiden inferred mineral resources are reported containing 280,000 oz Au for the Arizaro project.
Fortuna Silver at last look fell 1.4% in US pre-market trading on Tuesday following the news.
