Elk Capital Makes Investment in Otonomy

Fintel reports that Elk Capital Markets UK LTD has filed a 13D form with the SEC disclosing ownership of 4,751,629 shares of Otonomy Inc (OTIC). This represents 8.3% of the company.

Elk Capital recently purchased Shares in Otonomy, believing that they represented a good investment opportunity. Otonomy is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the development of innovative therapeutics for neurotology. The company pioneered the application of drug delivery technology to the ear in order to develop products that achieve sustained drug exposure from a single local administration. This approach is covered by a broad patent estate and is being utilized to develop a pipeline of products addressing important unmet medical needs including MĂ©nière’s disease, hearing loss, and tinnitus.
