04:43 AM EST, 12/29/2022 (MT Newswires) -- Singapore's Straits Times Index fell into negative territory on Thursday, following an overnight rout on Wall Street amid light holiday-season trading volumes.
During the day, the benchmark index ranged between 3,234.93 and 3,257.00, ending 0.54% or 17.73 points lower at 3,249.24.
In corporate news, CapitaLand India Trust (SGX:CY6U) closed nearly 1% lower on Thursday after its unit Ecospace IT Park agreed to acquire 100% of International Tech Park Pune in Hinjawadi, India for about 13.5 billion Indian rupees.
Shares of Sembcorp Marine (SGX:S51) rose nearly 1% on Thursday's close, as the company delivered the second eighth-generation drillship to Triton Titan, a unit of American oil and gas wells drilling company Transocean.
Digital Core REIT's (SGX:DCRU) shares soared around 9% on Thursday's close as the trust repurchased and canceled another 590,000 shares in the open market for about $304,976, or $0.5163 per share.
