12:44 AM EST, 12/29/2022 (MT Newswires) -- CapitaLand India Trust (SGX:CY6U), via its unit Ecospace IT Park, has agreed to acquire 100% of International Tech Park Pune in Hinjawadi, India for about 13.5 billion Indian rupees.
Ecospace IT Park will acquire the tech park from Ascendas India Development VII, a unit of CapitaLand Investment (SGX: 9CI) and its joint venture partner, Maharashtra Industrial Development, according to a Thursday release.
The tech park is an IT Special Economic Zone, with a total floor area of about 2.3 million square feet. It spans across four buildings and is almost fully leased out to major tech companies.
The acquisition of will expand CapitaLand India Trust's portfolio in Pune to a combined leasable floor area of 3.8 million square feet.
The deal is expected to close by February 2023.
