12:25 AM EST, 12/27/2022 (MT Newswires) -- Sembcorp Marine (SGX:S51) will hold an extraordinary general meeting in January 2023 to seek the approval of shareholders for the acquisition of a 100% stake in Keppel Offshore & Marine, a unit of Keppel (SGX:BN4).
The companies had previously agreed to combine Keppel Offshore & Marine and Sembcorp Marine by merging and forming a new company based on a 50:50 enterprise value ratio between the pair.
However, later in October, the parties signed an amended agreement, under which Sembcorp Marine agreed to directly acquire a 100% stake in Keppel Offshore & Marine, according to a Dec. 23 filing.
