The company's Q2 revenue is expected to be $636.6 million, down 4.34 per cent from a year earlier, according to Zacks Consensus. The consensus forecast for the company's profit has remained unchanged over the past 30 days, with a current forecast of a loss of 23 cents a share.

Noteworthy factors Roblox's performance in the second quarter was due to consumer adaptation, the growth of developers and the growth of user stickiness. In the first quarter of 2022, the average number of daily active users (DAU) was 54.1 million, an increase of 28% over the same period last year, driven by the increase in overall participation of the Roblox platform.

A number of indicators in the first quarter of Roblox fell short of expectations. First-quarter revenue rose 39 per cent year-on-year to $537.1 million, below analysts' consensus expectations of $646 million. As of march 31, 2022, the company's DAU grew 28% year-on-year to 54.1 million in the first quarter, with analysts expecting 54.2 million. In the first quarter of 2022, the number of daily active users spent 11.8 billion hours on the platform, an increase of 22% over the same period last year. The upcoming quarterly results are expected to benefit from strong growth in the time spent by users.

The company expects strong growth in the population aged 13 to 16 and 17 to 24 by the second quarter of 2022. The penetration of Roblox among 9-to 12-year-old users is increasing, even among U9 users. This is expected to contribute to user growth in the quarter.

Roblox's developer community is focused on providing excellent content with better visual effects and effects, and continued market penetration is expected to drive second-quarter results.
