02:01 AM EST, 01/07/2022 (MT Newswires) -- First Real Estate Investment Trust's (SGX:AW9U) independent directors and audit and risk committee has recommended that trust's unitholders vote in favor of the acquisition of 12 nursing homes in Japan.
The directors and the committee also recommended unitholders to approve the proposed settlement related to the terminated development works adjacent to Siloam Hospital Surabaya.
The real estate investment trust will hold an extraordinary general meeting on Jan. 28, where it will seek the approvals, according to a Thursday bourse filing.
First Real Estate Investment Trust (SGX:AW9U) last month signed a deal to acquire 12 nursing homes in Japan from OUE Lippo Healthcare (SGX:5WA) for SG$163.2 million ($120.1 million).
