The meeting proposed the construction of the Shuangcheng Economic Circle in the Chongqing region in 2022, with a total of 46 key tasks in 10 areas, 160 major projects and a total investment of about 2 trillion yuan.
For the 2022 plan, the meeting revolves around the outline of the Plan for the Construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, closely linked to the key tasks of joint efforts in the construction of modern infrastructure network, coordinated construction of modern industrial system, joint construction of Bashu cultural tourism corridor, co-construction and co-protection of ecology, and co-construction and sharing of public services, and put forward a number of major projects that play a supporting, leading and driving demonstration role.
The meeting proposed that projects listed in the list of major projects in the Shuangcheng economic circle in the Chongqing region should equally enjoy the same support and guarantee policies as major projects at the municipal level in Chongqing and at the provincial level in Sichuan. The two provinces and cities should give priority to the implementation of project construction land, balance financial funds at all levels, promote them to financial institutions, and actively do a good job in dispatching services and assessment management.
The meeting also examined four implementation plans: jointly building a world-class equipment manufacturing industry cluster, jointly building a demonstration zone for the integrated development of industrial Internet in the Chongqing area, jointly building a logistics system at the port of the Shuangcheng Economic Circle, and a carbon peak carbon neutralization joint action in the Shuangcheng Economic Circle, as well as the second batch of convenient living actions in the Shuangcheng Economic Circle and a number of policy measures to support the reform and innovation and development of the Gaozhu New area in Sichuan and Chongqing.
