FTSE 100 to Open Lower After Thursday Rally

0746 GMT - The FTSE 100 is expected to open lower after reaching a 20-month high on Thursday, lifted by a rally in mining shares as commodity prices rose. Spreadbetting firm IG expects the London index open down 11 points after closing up 44 points on Thursday. Economic data on Friday include the U.S. Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey for September and University of Michigan's consumer confidence data for November, both due at 1500 GMT. The market expects job openings to fall but it "wouldn't be a surprise to see a move in the other direction, higher given the lackluster employment reports during that month," CMC Markets analyst Michael Hewson says.
