Workday has appointed Mark Garfield as Chief Accounting Officer, effective September 3, 2024. Garfield, 53, joins from Adobe, where he has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer since 2018. His previous experience includes leadership roles at Cloudflare, Symantec Corporation, Brightstar Corporation, and Advanced Micro Devices.As part of his compensation package, Garfield will receive an annual base salary of $515,000, a $500,000 signing bonus, and a 35% target bonus under Workday's cash incentive plan. He will also be granted restricted stock units worth $6 million vesting over four years and a $3 million bridge award vesting over two years. The appointment includes participation in Workday's Executive Severance Plan and Change in Control Policy.
