Futu News reported on January 13 that Xiaomi strengthened with the market in early trading, reaching a high of HK$1,178, a record high since May 19. As of press release, it had risen 3.15% to HK$1,178, with a turnover of HK$881 million.

Guo Mingyi of Tianfeng International released a report saying that benefiting from changes in customer supply chain management strategies and increasing market share in emerging markets, and looking conservatively at 5G's contribution to the overall switching demand for Android phones and 2020 shipments, Android phone shipments in 2020 are still expected to increase significantly year-on-year.
Fuzhikang Group's Xiaomi phone shipments are expected to increase 25-30% year-on-year to about 45 million units in 2020, mainly due to increased market share in emerging and European markets, as well as increased shipments of Redmi Note.
Other major overseas banks have also had quite positive views on Xiaomi recently. Recently, UBS gave Xiaomi a “buy” rating for the first time, with a target price of HK$13.2.
UBS believes that Xiaomi's IoT ecosystem layout is not fully mature at this stage. After the business is monetized, Xiaomi can receive a re-evaluation of the valuation, bringing the valuation back to a level close to that of the international IoT and Internet service industry. Meanwhile, UBS expects Xiaomi's global smartphone shipments to grow by 8% and 6% in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
