In his first speech to the Italian Parliament, Italian Prime Minister Draghi said: "supporting this government means sharing the irreversible choice of the euro and the prospect of increasing integration of the European Union." this will lead to a common public budget that can support countries in times of recession.
"Today, we may or rather have a responsibility to start a new reconstruction, just like the post-World War II government," Mr Draghi said. Italy can only grow to get rid of high debt, and EU funds must be used to support potential growth.
