Foreign Outflow Persists With RM1.25 Billion Leaving The Market
Foreign investors extended their net selling streak on Bursa Malaysia for the 22nd consecutive week, registering a net outflow of -RM1.25b last week. This was a slight decrease from the -RM1.34b outflow recorded the previous week.
外國投資者連續第22周延續了馬來西亞證券交易所的淨拋售勢頭,上週淨流出量爲-12.5令吉。這比前一週記錄的-13.4令吉的流出量略有下降。
Foreign investors were net sellers on every trading day, with Wednesday witnessing the heaviest outflow at –RM484.23m. On the other days, the outflows range from -RM155.34m to -RM326.40m.

In contrast, local institutions remained steadfast in supporting the market, marking their twenty-second consecutive week of net buying of RM1.23b inflow.

Meanwhile, local retail investors extended their net buying streak for a sixth straight week, recording a net inflow of RM25.5m.

Except for foreign investors, the average daily trading volume (ADTV) saw broad-based decrease. Local institutions and local retail recorded a decline of -11.9% and -14.8%, respectively, while foreign investors saw an increase of +27.4%.
