Pentamaster Corporation Berhad has provided additional information on the writ of summon filed against the company by Ocado Innovation a UK-based retailer which was shared this week.

Apparently, the subject matter of the dispute is in relation to the inventions in the field of warehouse automation and robotics owned by Ocado Innovation Limited.

Ocado alleges that there was an infringement of those Disputed Patents which is comprised of a warehouse and robotics storage system, in which PCB has not done so and asserts that it has not engaged in any acts of infringement.

However, Pentamaster has maintained that it has no involvement with the specific technologies or systems described in the claim.

The lawyers representing Ocado have among others requested Pentamaster to declare that the Disputed Patents have been infringed and want the company to stop infringing through any actions involving the development, use, sale, or facilitation of systems or products.

The UK firm also wants an order from the courts for destruction or, at the option for destruction of all Infringing Systems or which may infringe the Disputed Patents in the possession, power, custody, or control of PCB, or of their respective agents, related companies, or contractors.

Ocado also wants an inquiry on the damages incurred and account of profits Pentamasted could have benefited from the infringement.
