UEM Edgenta Berhad (UEM Edgenta) has announced that its RM1 billion Sukuk Murabahah Programme received an upgrade to AAIS from AA-IS by MARC Ratings Berhad. This marks the first upgrade since the rating was assigned in 2017, reflecting UEM Edgenta's strong financial position and consistent business growth.

MARC Ratings highlighted UEM Edgenta's diversified revenue streams and long-term contracts, which underpin its robust cash flow generation. For the first nine months of 2024, the company secured RM2.3 billion in new contracts, with healthcare solutions accounting for 80%, including RM900 million in contracts in Singapore.

Key achievements include a 7.6% year-on-year increase in revenue to RM2.2 billion and a 5.1% rise in pre-tax profit to RM65.6 million for the same period. UEM Edgenta's operating margins remained steady at 3%, supported by cost management initiatives and technological advancements.
