Marrero, Louisiana – May 23, 2024 – Vertex Energy proudly welcomed Secretary of the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ), Ms. Giacometto, and accompanying LDEQ staff to our Marrero Refinery located at 5000 River Road on May 22, 2024. This visit offered a valuable opportunity for Secretary Giacometto to engage directly with Vertex's leadership team and deepen her understanding of our refinery's operations and our commitment to environmental stewardship.

During the visit, Secretary Giacometto was welcomed by the Plant Manager, the Site HSE Manager, the Director of Regulatory Affairs, and the Director of Communications. The agenda included a brief presentation on the refinery's health, safety, and environmental programs, followed by a guided tour of the facility.
