According to the Zhitong Finance App, Dongwu Cement (00695) announced results for the year ended December 31, 2023, with revenue of HK$307 million, a year-on-year decrease of 17.5%; losses attributable to company owners were HK$3.655 million, a decrease of 9.7% year-on-year; and a basic loss of HK$0.066 per share.

The Group's net profit margin for the reporting period was approximately -13.4%, down about 1.8% from the absolute value of about -11.6% in 2022. This decline is mainly due to: the cement sector was also impacted by multiple adverse factors such as increased market competition, high upstream raw material costs, declining downstream real estate, and increased environmental energy consumption constraints, and continued to experience operating losses; and production and sales in the rare earth sector are gradually on track, but since the scale has not yet been formed, the fixed cost per unit is high.
