Singapore Shares End Week in Black; Sarine Technologies Climbs 2% on Launch of Software for Small Polished Diamonds

Singapore's Straits Times Index was pulled into positive territory on Friday to end the week on a high note, following gains in global equity markets overnight.

During the day, the benchmark index ranged between 3,141.08 and 3,163.68, ending 0.4% or 12.51 points higher at 3,152.29.

In corporate news, Sarine Technologies (SGX:U77) rolled out a new software, named Most Valuable Planning, which promises to generate up to 5% additional value to the polished diamonds, sending the company's shares up by nearly 2% at market close.

Intraco (SGX:I06) shares closed flat on Friday, as it raised about SG$4.2 million from the issuance of the third series of its commercial paper in digital securities under the company's multicurrency commercial paper facility program.

Yangzijiang Financial (SGX:YF8) shares rose nearly 2% on Friday's close, as it bought back another 9 million shares in the open market for roughly SG$2.9 million or SG$0.32 apiece.
