According to Zhitong Financial App News, Kanghua Medical (03689) announced the results for the six months ended June 30, 2023, with revenue of 987 million yuan (RMB, same below), an increase of 14.5% over the previous year; profit attributable to company owners was 506.55 million yuan, loss of 4771 million yuan in the same period last year; basic profit of 15.1 points per share.

The Group's total gross profit was 171 million yuan, an increase of 93.2% over the previous year. Overall gross margin increased to 17.3% (first half of 2022:10.3%), mainly due to: a strong rebound in business operations in the Hospital Services Division; an increase in the average expenses of patients on inpatient medical services and physical examination services; an increase in the number of surgeries performed; and all improvements in Kangxin Hospital's financial performance, even though the company still operates at a negative gross margin.
