According to people familiar with the matter, US fiscal software giant Intuit is in talks to buy email marketing startup Mailchimp for more than $10 billion.

People familiar with the matter said that no final decision has been made yet, and negotiations may break down. Since the matter has not been made public, these persons requested not to be named. They also said that another bidder may also appear.

The predecessor of Mailchimp was a web design company called Rocket Science Group. The company provides digital marketing services to small businesses, including social ads, shoppable links, and automated products.
