Khosrowshahi's departure aims to reduce his external commitments and focus on his responsibilities at Uber. The resignation was not due to any disagreements with Aurora's operations or policies.The company has appointed Shailen Bhatt, currently Senior Vice President and COO of AtkinsRéalis, to fill the board position. Bhatt, 49, brings extensive transportation leadership experience, having served as the Federal Highway Administration Administrator and held executive positions at AECOM and the Intelligent Transportation Society of America. As a board member, Bhatt will serve until the 2026 Annual Meeting and receive standard non-employee director compensation, including $60,000 in annual cash compensation plus additional committee service payments.
