On December 19, 2024, Petrobras signed a Protocol of Intent with Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional (CSN) and CSN Inova Soluções to structure a partnership for a commercial-scale low-carbon hydrogen plant in Paraná. The initiative aims to support decarbonization efforts of both companies' operations and products, aligning with Petrobras' Strategic Plan 2050 and Business Plan 2025-2029.The proposed plant will produce low-carbon hydrogen through water electrolysis using renewable electricity sources. This hydrogen can be utilized in industrial processes or as fuel.
