Unity Software has appointed Alex Blum, its Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, as Chief Operating Officer effective November 1, 2024. The compensation package includes a $525,000 annual base salary, 75% target bonus, and a one-time $25,000 cash bonus payable in February 2025. Additionally, Blum will receive 59,555 restricted stock units and options to purchase 39,703 shares.Blum, 62, joined Unity in July 2024 and brings extensive experience in technology leadership. He previously served as Executive Chairman of Tru Optik until its acquisition by TransUnion in 2021, and held executive positions at AOL. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder and an MBA from Seattle University.The equity awards will vest over four years, with RSUs vesting quarterly and options vesting monthly, subject to continuous employment. Blum will also participate in the company's Executive Severance Plan and enter into a standard indemnification agreement.
