Recently, the Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Department, together with nine departments including the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission, formulated and issued the “Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Work Plan to Support Carbon Peak”, which proposes to cultivate and expand about 1,000 high-tech enterprises in the green and low carbon sector by 2025, and build 5 to 8 green technology industry clusters with large industrial scale, strong innovation ability, and a complete industrial chain. According to the plan, Shandong will break through a number of “stuck neck” key core technologies in green and low-carbon development, introduce 3 to 5 national-level “high-precision and scarce” innovative talents and teams, focus on training 8 to 10 major core key technical talent teams, and greatly improve its ability to build a green, low-carbon circular development economic system.
