The peak summer capacity expansion and upgrade of the virtual power plant in Yibin, SiChuan has begun.

"Line connection successful, power displaying normally." On May 15, with the real-time electricity load curve appearing on the big screen, the Yibin Asia Star Zero Carbon Digital Logistics Port officially connected to the Yibin City virtual power plant platform, marking another milestone in the capacity expansion and upgrade project of the first batch of virtual power plants in the province. Yibin is the second city in SiChuan to build a virtual power plant after Chengdu. Since the trial operation of the Yibin City virtual power plant platform launched in April 2024, it has connected over 170 electricity-consuming enterprises, with a dispatch capacity exceeding 0.14 million kilowatts, accounting for more than 3% of Yibin's total daily electricity consumption. During the peak summer period in 2024, the Yibin City virtual power plant platform organized 42 enterprises to participate in demand-side response, reducing approximately 0.075 million kilowatts of electricity consumption during peak hours.
