Taobao accelerates its overseas expansion by launching a Russian version and free shipping service in Kazakhstan.

On May 15, it was reported that Taobao has launched a Russian version in Kazakhstan. Local consumers can browse commodity details, check prices in Russian, and settle accounts in local currency. This is the first time Taobao has launched a multilingual version targeting non-English speaking countries. The internal test data from Taobao shows that a week after the Russian version was launched, over 70% of new users' first orders on Taobao Kazakhstan came from Russian users, and the conversion rate of new user orders increased by 47% compared to before. In addition to launching the Russian version, Taobao also introduced 'free shipping for orders over 99 yuan' and 'local return' services in Kazakhstan.
