This power outage will have a significant impact on Spain's GDP, as many businesses had to halt operations that day. According to analysts interviewed, Spain's daily GDP exceeds 4 billion euros, with the industrial sector accounting for about 14% (approximately 0.575 billion euros) and the service sector about 12% (approximately 0.5 billion euros). Therefore, they estimate that the total loss to the Spanish economy could reach 1 billion euros.
