On April 26 local time, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Baghaei stated via social media that indirect negotiations between Iran and the USA are being conducted in a serious and earnest atmosphere, where both sides exchanged positions and opinions on two major issues through Oman: firstly, effectively lifting sanctions against Iran; secondly, establishing mutual trust regarding the peaceful nature of Iran's nuclear program while insisting on maintaining Iran's legitimate rights to peacefully utilize nuclear energy.
