Scientists from Pohang University of Science and Technology and the South Korea Energy Research Institute have developed a new type of composite anode material by embedding tin nanoparticles into a hard carbon matrix, providing a new solution to this problem and significantly improving the charging speed and cycle life of lithium-ion and Sodium-ion Batteries. Experimental data shows that when lithium-ion Batteries use this hard carbon-tin nanocomposite anode, it can achieve over 1500 cycle life under rapid charging conditions of 20 minutes, and the energy density can reach 1.5 times that of traditional graphite anode Batteries. In the application of Sodium-ion Batteries, this material also demonstrates excellent cycling stability and superior kinetic properties. The relevant research results have been published in the journal 'ACS Nano.'
