Peking will strictly investigate five types of illegal online sales practices including exploiting Big Data to discriminate against loyal customers and forced bundling.

On the 17th, the Peking Municipal Market Regulation Bureau held a work guidance meeting for key platform enterprises in Peking, where several measures were announced to standardize unreasonable business practices in online sales and live-streaming commerce. According to these measures, Peking will strictly investigate five types of illegal activities: false advertising, price violations, exploiting Big Data to discriminate against loyal customers, forced bundling, selling counterfeit and inferior products, and violations of Food Safety regulations.
