The GAC Group issued a statement on March 26 saying it was concerned about false rumors on the Internet that “Huawang Automobile (GH Project) will acquire Evergrande Motor's Nansha plant.” In order to avoid misleading the public and investors and maintain market order, the GAC Group made the following clarification: GAC Group and its Huawang Automobile (GH Project) have never had any form of contact with Evergrande Motor or any other entity regarding the acquisition of the Nansha plant.
