On December 25, CHINA MOBILE Research Institute announced a collaboration with CHINA MOBILE Zijin (Jiangsu) Innovation Research Institute, CHINA MOBILE Bay Area (Guangdong) Innovation Research Institute, and CHINA MOBILE Jiangsu Company to tackle key technologies for Lightweight 5G private networks. They introduced the CHINA MOBILE "Core" + "Lingyun" fully self-researched, domestically produced Lightweight 5G private network integrated products, completing the first pilot project. To address issues such as long construction cycles, complex systems, and high costs in traditional industry 5G private network construction, as well as the trend towards domestic network equipment, CHINA MOBILE Research Institute collaborated with CHINA MOBILE provincial specialized companies and industry partners to create a small, domestically produced, independently controllable end-to-end solution for 5G private networks, based on CHINA MOBILE's self-researched core network and wireless products. This solution claims to significantly reduce deployment and operational costs while introducing 5G edge computing.
