Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that although the contract for transporting Henry Hub Natural Gas through Ukraine is expected to expire this year, Russia is prepared to continue exporting natural gas to Europe through multiple routes. Even though most countries in Europe are gradually reducing their dependence on Russian pipeline gas, the imminent end of gas supplies through Ukraine has raised concern among countries like Slovakia, which heavily rely on the Russian gas industry to meet their own needs.
