At the 2024 global 6G development conference, Wang Xiaoyun, Deputy Chief Engineer and Chief Scientist of China Mobile Communications Group Co., Ltd., said that intelligent entities are the new driving force for 6G development. To achieve the commercial closed loop of 6G, on the one hand, it is necessary to innovate the design around the new interaction paradigm and new capability elements brought by intelligent entities. On the other hand, the focus needs to shift from functions to the overall network efficiency, achieved by cost reduction and efficiency improvement through AI. It is also necessary to establish efficient collaborative mechanisms, including cross-border collaboration, cross-domain collaboration, and cross-layer collaboration. Finally, global operators cannot have unified demands; therefore, there is a need to develop a platform-based network to achieve customizable networks and plug-and-play capabilities.
