According to a report from the Financial Association, on the first day of the China Aviation Expo, GE Aviation and its joint venture CFM International (a 50/50 equity joint venture between GE Aviation and Safran Aircraft Engines) signed strategic cooperation agreements with Xiamen Airlines, Spring Airlines, Changlong Airlines, and Hainan Airlines under China Fangda Group, with a total order amount of nearly 1.9 billion USD. Among them, GE Aviation signed a purchase agreement for 8 GEnx-1B engines with Xiamen Airlines to power 3 Boeing 787 aircraft; signed a maintenance agreement for 58 CFM56-5B engines with Spring Airlines; signed a purchase and service agreement for 13 LEAP-1A engines with Changlong Airlines to power 6 Airbus A320/A321 aircraft; and deepened fleet selection and strategic cooperation with Hainan Airlines.
